Lending Foster Teens a Helping Hand

Every year, hundreds of 18-year-olds across Cuyahoga County age out of foster care. For many, their circumstances are grim. In 2022, nearly 40% ‘graduated’ into unstable housing conditions and dozens could not be found. Many had not finished high school.

These young adults are some of the most vulnerable members of our community and they urgently need our support. That’s where HART House comes in; we help those who are aging out of foster care make the transition into independence.

With a variety of programs and services, HART House supports teens throughout our community and foster teens who are aging out of care.
